Limn: one year of Comrades training, wide version
The graph shows the running schedule for 1030 runners who are logging their data with Discovery Vitality in South Africa and have done at least one run over 80 km. Each row represents one runner's data, for one year, starting with the Comrades Marathon at the end of May 2015 and ending with the Comrades at the end of May 2016. At the end of the row you can see the runner's calculated completion time and average heart rate, if it was recorded.
Each column represents one day, showing the distance run (the vertical line) up to 90 km and the speed of the run (the dot below it) ranging from 5 to 20 km per hour. The top row is the median value per day across all runners.

The visualisation as a picture. The wide original drew over 750,000 SVG elements in the browser and took a while to load.
